Following his departure from portraying the character Castro Kamanga on S3’s The Estate, which went on a break, Aubrey Poo has made his way to the enduring SABC 1 soapie Generations: The Legacy. He has taken on the role of Khumo Moroka.
According to an official statement, this transition is seamless as Aubrey is an impeccable match for the character of Khumo, who stands as a formidable member of the Moroka family, overseeing their mining ventures.
The statement further notes, “Aubrey’s capacity to embody the conniving antagonist, armed with an alluring grin and shrewd craftiness, is poised to be brilliantly showcased as Khumo pursues his lofty aspirations.”
Simultaneously, as Poo embarks on this new venture, Rapulana Seiphemo and Connie Ferguson make their anticipated return to reprise their iconic roles as Tau Mogale and Karabo Moroka.
Earlier this year, the duo made a cameo appearance on the show as they attended the funeral of Mazwi Moroka, portrayed by Musa Ngema. Additionally, they previously shared the screen in the Mzansi Magic (DStv 161) telenovela, The Queen, playing the characters Hector Sebata and Harriet Khoza.
The official statement concludes by promising viewers an exciting spring and a scorching summer, as the series cranks up the drama, deceit, and treachery with the arrival of these three powerhouses in mid-September. It foretells a significant upheaval, featuring family conflicts, romantic entanglements, and corporate machinations that will captivate the audience.
