YENZA Africa has opened its first official brick-and-mortar pop up store in Newtown Junction, in the heart of Johannesburg. This intentional pop-up is aimed at attracting the local brand’s most sought after audience; youths that are vibrant, and are at the helm of popular culture. When asked about the reason for opening the store in Newtown Junction, the founder and CEO of YENZA, Sphamandla Dlamini, mentioned that this move was done strategically to be closer to the people that are responsible for the country’s future, which is the youth.
“At YENZA, we believe that Africans have the solution to solve its own problems, all we need to do is to #getstarted. Although YENZA has set its sights on the youth, we believe that anyone at any age can #getstarted because age is not a determining factor for success and we are all capable of change, whether it is on a small or large scale. The small incremental changes that we make contribute to monumental changes that change the world.”
When you walk into the YENZA brick-and-mortar store, you are immediately motivated to #getstarted. With friendly staff that boasts extensive product knowledge and excellent customer service, a seating area that makes it easy to interact with the products and try on shoes with ease, the store also has a message wall that allows you to leave your mark and an instagrammable interior that just makes you want to hashtag and tag away.
Located in Bantu Kraal, the store has the Fearless V1, the Themba 909 and Y-2306, all its ranges available with a variety of colourways and sizes to choose from.
