In the world of music, where speed and spectacle often dominate, Liebah Masango—known to listeners simply as Liebah—is walking a different path. Grounded in sincerity and soul, she’s taking her time, crafting not just songs but stories that reflect where she’s been and where she’s going.
Her journey began in a familiar setting for many musicians: “Playing in church and then later joining a music school, where I began to write songs.” Those early days built the foundation for what would become a deep love for both the technical and emotional sides of music. It was in church that she learned to feel the music—and in music school where she learned how to shape it.
One of the defining moments of her career so far has been the release of a house track that showcases her growth and attention to detail. “I think it was one of the house songs I recently released. I did a lot of research and really put my mind into producing the song and paid attention to genre-specific techniques and it came out pretty good. The song is called ‘When I Have You.’” It’s a track that reflects not only her talent but also her commitment to learning and mastering her craft.
When asked about potential collaborators, her answer is simple and specific: “I’d like to work with or under Oncemoresix.” It’s a testament to her focus—she knows exactly the kind of creative energy she wants to align with.
Right now, though, Liebah is in a season of reflection—a quiet pause where she is allowing God to bring her back to His vision. She isn’t rushing into new projects or putting out music just to stay visible. Instead, she’s intentionally stepping back to realign with her purpose. “I’m not working on anything right now. I’m just trying to find my direction again in order to pick up where I left off concerning my music and the message so that I’m not walking without a vision or a goal and just releasing just because there are songs.” In a world driven by constant output, that level of self-awareness and spiritual grounding is rare—and refreshing.
Still, she’s quietly proud of what’s next. Her latest project may not be out yet, but it carries deep personal weight. “I think my latest unreleased album/project. It’s the one that felt the most like me but also honest and vulnerable.”
And that’s the beauty of Liebah’s journey—it’s unfolding on her own terms. With a sound rooted in honesty and a heart set on intention, she’s not just making music; she’s making meaning.
